Are not the poor willing to labour while they have Work to do '! Has the British character so deteriorated that thousands prefer a state of half-starved idleness to a condition of comfortable industry? No, it is not so; thousands labour for a pittance which only procures them bread; and tens of thousands more are unable to procure employment sufficient to obtain bread!
