About Yoshiko Takeuchi

The author is a cooking teacher full time and is a qualified chef and has a bachelor degree and qualifications in Nutrition. Yoshiko was born in Japan and has been teaching cooking for over 16 years in Japan. She specialises in teaching Vegetarian, Vegan and gluten free cooking as well as both traditional and modern Japanese cuisine. Yoshiko has a life-long passion for food and health. She believes that "we really are what we eat." She loves sharing her knowledge about health, cooking techniques and recipes with others in as many ways as possibleshow more

I love Yoshiko's book! It is firstly extremely informative, anything you ever wanted to know about soy or tofu has been covered. All the different types of soy products and how to use them have been listed as well as different types of tofu and how to use them. The recipes are clear and easy to follow and the photos present the foods beautifully! We have added quite a few of these recipes to our family favourites list! Amazing book and amazing value. Inventive new recipes with great explanations and beautiful photos! I was pleasantly surprised by the diverse range of soy themed recipes, from entrees all the way through to desserts. Highly recommended for vegans and anyone wanting to add healthy delicious twists to their repertoire.show more

I ordered this book after attending one of Yoshiko's wonderful cooking workshops in Sydney (Australia). The recipes are easy to follow with beautiful photos, and best of all, the results are delicious!!!! I love my copy of 'Cooking with Soy'!!!!show more
