Excerpt: ...considerable interest to the contracting field has just been accomplished by the merging of the Buffalo Contractors Plant Corporation and the Ruddock Bucket Co. The new company will be known as the Buffalo Hoist & Derrick Co., with plant and offices at Buffalo, New York. The bucket department of the business will, however, be under the direct charge of Mr. C. E. Forsythe at 50 Church Street, New York. Mr. Clive Edwards will have charge of the bucket end of the business at the Buffalo end of the line, where he will be located. He was associated with Mr. Ruddock in the designing and development of the bucket, and has an intimate knowledge of the manufacturing as well as the selling side of the business. Mr. Forsythe is well known in the contracting machinery business and among the big contractors of the country. He has long been established in New York selling contractors' equipment and particularly clam-shell buckets. Knowing the contracting business very well, he will add to the present products of the company lines of equipment which are in demand among contractors. He has arranged for the extension of the shops of the company so as to permit manufacturing on a large scale according to the duplicate parts basis. The company has been reorganized so far as the personnel of a number of departments is concerned. E. A. Weber Mr. V'eber has been connected with the Greiling Brothers Co. of Green Bay, Wis., since 1909. Mr. W'eber graduated from the University of Illinois in the class of 1908. He then came to Green Bay and was employed in the City Engineer's office for a short time.
