I do not remember. Q. 54. I am informed by the honorable the Commissioner of theGeneral Land Office that it appears of record that on the 27th day of December, 1880, you appeared as a witness, ami one of the two witnesses, to Telles's homestead proof; you described yourself asa ranchman, about thirty years of age, and claimed San Mateo, Valencia County, as your post-office address. Mr. Telles swore, as the claimant, to a continuous residence with his family on the laud since January, 1874; to improvements of the value of 82,000--a house, corral, stable, and fencing; to have used the laud for stock-raising and agricultural purposes; and to have brokeu 40 acres, cultivated in wheat.corn, and vegetables. As a witness ynu corroborated these statements, and in reply to question 2: i testified to your belief that claimant acteii in good faith in making his homestead entry, and that you had no knowledge to the contrary. To all of which yon signed your name and took the customary oath as witness. This is the recnnl as on file in the Laud Office at Washington. Does this not revive your memory, and are the facts set forth iu this statement true or false?--A.
