About MR Christopher Thomas Harker
About the Author Chris Harker started cooking at the age of 6 years old and has not stopped. Chris grew up in the nation's capitol which exposed him to many different cultures and cuisines with the large diplomatic corp in Washington, D.C. Having friends of Italian, Latin American, and Southern origins and his love for these cuisines Chris started to focus on cooking these foods early on in his food endevours. This led to an even deeper appreciation of food and Chris eventually attending culinary school. After completeing culinary school and a pastry apprenticeship Chris began his culinary career. After working in many fine establishments like the Watergate and other Washington area restaurants. Chris headed down south to explore his interest in southern cuisine. After 30+ years of cooking both as a home cook and professional chef he has decided to put together a collection of his favorite comfort food recipes and share what he has learned about cooking from the heart and the power food has to heal.
