Claude's surreal adventures are both amusing and fun to read, having great appeal for newly confident readers. * Books for Keeps * An out-and-out winner this. * Daily Telegraph * Quintessentially British humour from writer/illustrator Smith... whimsical and charming. * Financial Times * There is no relenting in the quality of this series. There is absolutely nothing to dislike about the Claude series, nothing. * Library Mice * Children and adults will love Claude's exploration of the countryside... a hilarious addition to this stylish series. Excellent for newly confident young readers... beautifully produced too. * parentsintouch.co.uk * Delightfully witty... beautifully-judged text with enormously appealing illustrations. * Ham & High * Thank goodness Alex T Smith is doing such a grand job of continuing to feed my Claude habit. I do like to steal the Claude stories away from my daughter and curl up to read them myself as they always cheer me up. Smith has great style in his artwork, and a real sense of fun, and he matches it perfectly with the cleverly crafted stories. * * * * * * Bookbag * A wonderful creation for newly independent readers. * indie bound Christmas Books * I loved everything about this book. * Bookbag * Comic talent not just for writing a good story but also illustrating it in a fitting but hilarious style. * Books For Keeps * A treat for new readers. * Peters Gazette * A wonderful creation for newly independent readers. * The Bookseller *
