The club is considering a plan to collect The Research Club Polished works of the members and place them on file in some convenient place at the college. The officers chosen by the club in its permanent organization are as follows: Professor Overstreet, Chairman; Dr. Goldfarb, Secretary; Professors Baskerville, Coffin, Saurel, Winslow, and Woolston, and President Finley, Executive Committee. At a third meeting of the Club, held on May 17, Prof. Paul Saurel read a paper on "The Regular Solids and the Types of Crystal Symmetry." Among the speakers who have addressed the Common Welfare Club during the spring have been Mr. Paul Kennaday, Secretary of the Association for Labor Legislation, who spoke on March 7 The Common upon " The Immediate Needs of Labor LegisWelfare Club lation"; Mr. Benjamin C. Marsh, the executive secretary of the New York Committee on Congestion, who spoke of " Taxation and the Congestion Problem," on March 22, and Professor Winslow, who discussed "Public Health Problems," on April 12. The recent activities of the club have also included visits to the Museum for Safety Devices and to Ellis Island. The officers of the Young Men's Christian Association have been elected for the year 1912-13 as follows: President, Henry F. Herrmann, '13; Vice-President, Thomas E.
