Cirripectes filamentosus is a species of combtooth blenny found in coral reefs in the western Pacific and Indian oceans.It was first named by Alleyne and Macleay in 1877, and is commonly known as the Filamentous blenny.Combtooth blennies are blennioids; perciform marine fish of the family Blenniidae. They are the largest family of blennies, with approximately 371 species in 53 genera represented. Combtooth blennies are found in tropical and subtropical waters in the Atlantic, Pacific and Indian Oceans; some species are also found in brackish and even freshwater environments
