Description

Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Churchtown is a village and townland near Buttevant in County Cork, Province of Munster, Ireland. The Irish name was historically anglicised as Ballytample, Ballyntample, Ballintample and Ballintemple. It is the native place of renowned horse racing trainer, Vincent O'Brien who set-up his training establishment here in the 1940s before moving to Ballydoyle, near Cashel, County Tipperary. Film star Oliver Reed lived the last few years of his life in Churchtown and is now buried in the village cemetery.show more
