Excerpt from The Church of England Pulpit, and Ecclesiastical Review, Vol. 36: July to December, 1893
I am desired to ask for the means to purchase a very suitable house in Holloway now available for the purpose. All contributions may be sent to the honorary chaplain, the Rev. W. J. Hocking, All Saints' Vicarage, Tufnell-park, who will be glad to answer any inquiries, or to enter into communication with ladies willing to join the Settlement. I will only add that the scheme has my most hearty approval. I know the needs of the poorer parishes of North London, and wish to relieve those needs. Such a Ladies' Settle ment would be an immense assistance to the parochial clergy.
