Christopher Otcasek is a singer-songwriter who formed Glamour Camp and signed to EMI, where they released their self-titled debut album. On the album's leadoff single, Otcasek affected an Iggy Pop croon which garnered some light rotation MTV play. The album wasn't a big seller, and Glamour Camp's debut served also as its swan song. However, Glamour Camp lives on in millions of CD collections, although with many not one even realizing it. This is thanks to the recording the following year of "Real Wild Child (Wild One)," their version of Australian Rock and Roll singer Johnny O'Keefe's 1958 hit "Wild One," which was featured on the bestselling Pretty Woman soundtrack. The song had previously been renamed twice. The Crickets member Jerry Ivan Allison, using the name Ivan, covered the song and renamed it "Real Wild Child."
