Hu Chin-lung (born February 2, 1984) is a Taiwanese professional baseball player. He is currently an infielder for the New York Mets of Major League Baseball. Hu, along with his countryman Fu-Te Ni (a pitcher for the Detroit Tigers), has the shortest surname in Major League Baseball history. He is the fifth player-and first infielder-in Major League Baseball from Taiwan. Hu was signed by the Dodgers on January 31, 2003, and began his professional career with the rookie league Ogden Raptors in 2003. He split 2004 between the Columbus Catfish in A ball and the Vero Beach Dodgers in High-A ball. In 2005, he played the whole season at Vero Beach and hit .313 with 23 stolen bases.
