About Brian Parkin

Brian lives at Forest Lake, 20 km southwest of Brisbane in Queensland, Australia, with his wife Ivanka. He originated from a little coal mining village in County Durham in the north east of England, went to St Aidan's Grammar School in Sunderland and then joined the Royal Air Force in 1967, leaving as a Warrant Officer in 1991. During his service in the military, he was stationed at many places overseas and was involved in the Falklands Conflict and the first Gulf War, Desert Storm. Brian has a love for wildlife photography and produced a photo book called "The Lake at Forest Lake," which details all of the different birds that visit the lake. He recently published "Simply Exposure: A Light Bulb Moment" which is a how to eBook for digital SLR users who haven't grasped the complexity of perfect exposure every time yet. His bestselling "Lighting Diagrams" eBook about lighting setups for studio portraits has achieved #1 for its category on Amazon. He has also written a series of teenager issues eBooks and an eBook entitled "Stop Smoking: Be Healthier, Wealthier, and Wiser." He has written 3 novels: "Deadly Inheritance," Manifesto for a Serial Killer" and "The Cheng Sung Connection." Brian has always had a love of writing from his days as a senior government policy writer.
