Description

A powerful debut novel that was inspired by life, influenced by music, and twisted by imagination. A spin on the traditional forbidden love story, "Charlie" is a gripping coming-of-age 2 book series that takes you into the world of a somewhat clumsy, wild-hearted and tom-boyish young woman. Book-1 Charlie has dreamt of living in the mountains, the place of her roots, for most of her life, and in a twisted turn of events, her dream becomes a reality. With her charm and fun loving ways, she makes her way into the hearts of many... including some that she shouldn't. But, as time goes on, the life she dreamt it would be becomes more like a nightmare due to the toxic relationship she finds herself in, and as people's true colors are revealed, she realizes that some of them are not at all that they seemed, and she begins to question her safety, and who she can trust. In her quest to find peace and guidance, she finds solace in an unexpected place. You will fall in love with her, find yourself rooting for her, and even get irritated with her as if she were your own family. Follow along as dirty secrets are exposed, violence ensues, and hearts break and collide.show more

About C M Buzbee

C.M. Buzbee currently resides in a quaint little beach town in Sarasota County Florida, with her husband and 4 children. She spends her days writing her heart out, while enjoying the quiet company of her 10 year old rescue Lab, Shelby. Born in Rhinebeck, NY, also an artsy historic village, she is country girl at heart. Vermont is another place very close to the author's heart, as she spent many summers in the mountains with her paternal family. Writing is something that has always come very natural to our author, as she's been doing so since the day her fingers could hold a pen due to her imagination constantly running wild with stories that just needed to come out. Throughout her school career, English was her strongest subject, as she was that student who actually looked forward to book reports, writing papers and short stories, often shocking her teachers with her writing abilities and her colorful, yet, sometimes dark imagination. She is also infatuated with History. Whether it be historical events, places, or quiet historical moments in time. "Like, finding a novel on the shelf of a thrift store from the 1800's, then thumbing through it, only to find a dated quill written inscription from over 100 years ago!" It fascinates her. "Or ending up with a bow to a violin that's dated over 150 years. Who held it in their hand? In what great symphonies could it have been used?" She knows the possibilities are endless. That, is imagination. She is working her way toward furthering her education, with plans to major in English and possibly Photo Journalism, since photography is another great passion of hers. Her main agenda for the time being is to finish up the almost complete, continuance of "Charlie." Then finally, she will begin her next piece, which will be an eye opening story about mental illness and addiction, aiming to shed a light on those that are lost, or have been forgotten. Her "Greatest Work" as she calls it. So, make sure to be on the look out in the future... because she's just getting started.show more
