Chark's Bones : A 'chark And Beane Mystery'
Chief Inspector Chark and his assistant, Hume Beane are called to a building site in Fairport, a small English coastal town, to investigate the murder of two servicemen. Their bodies were exhumed from the site of an old community air raid shelter where they had been buried in haste during a raid. His investigation takes him to the United States to interview a man who survived the air raid as a boy and lost his parents. One of whom was one of the murdered men.Chark is convinced that the murderer is alive and still living in the area. With the help of computer-savvy Beane, he finds the murderer in a most unusual occupation.
