Chapelton railway station serves the village of Chapelton, part of the civil parish of Tawstock in the English county of Devon. It is a rural station on the Tarka Line 34.75 miles (56 km) north west of Exeter on the way to Barnstaple. The North Devon Railway was opened on 1 August 1854 but no passenger facilities were provided at Chapelton until 1857. This temporary station was closed ten years later and the present station was finally opened on 1 March 1875.show more
