"itt vhich rhe Catholike Church teacheth 'Satisfaction is that although the conuersion 1 sinner to God may be foe intense and nfect sometimes, that he may obtainc a full "niffion of all punishment, and be as it were e-borne to God in bapttsinc; yet this doth not I'ais happen. Our conuersion to God is not fes foe intense and perftct, but that there Jy and commonly doth remainc some punishment to be suffered after it. This we shew first by holy Scriptures.
