About Rita Ann Rice McDonald

Raised in Wisconsin, Rita A.R. McDonald began her career as an X-ray technician, which allowed her to work in various locales worldwide. She was married to a career Army man for twenty-six years, and had two children. In the 1980's the family moved to Japan. There they adopted Button, the subject of this book, and she remained the family pet for nineteen years in Japan, Belgium, and Milwaukee, where the family still lives. Ms. McDonald continues to teach and enjoys traveling.
