"Llewelyn." Me. D. Jenkins, Alus. Bac, is writing a short choral work, "The Psalm of Life," for next year's festival at Cardiff. The curriculum of the Welsh University will shortly be published, and it is expected that the first rnatiiculatiun examination will ba held some time in the course of ntxt year. NOTES FROM WALES. The Churchmen of Wale are organizing a guild under tie title Brawdoliaeth Dewi Sant"--Anglice Brotherhood of St. David. Miss Phoebe Sheavyn, who took her M.A. this year from Aberystwyth, being first in English and French branch, has received a scholarship and a position on the staff of Bryn Mawr College, Philadelphia. The funds granted by the State in 1869 for all forms of public education in Wales amounted to less than 42,000; now the grants to Wales reach nearly 430,000. The Secretsry of State for India, acting on behalf of the Travancore State, has selected MissS. B. Williams of Somerville College, Oxford, for the post of Lidy Principal of the Girls' Hiah School of Trivandrum. MissWilliams had a distinguished scholastic career....show more
