The said Duke of 'Cessa, ' together with the Marquis Sta Croce and the Terzo, shall by command of the King, at the beginning of next month, ship the soldiers at of Figheroa for Spain; so that it is supposed his Majesty will go 'against Impressa' in Africa, and withal have consideration to keep the Low Countries quiet. To-day is come hither in great haste the Bishop of Cambray, who imediately repaired to the Pope and Cardinal Granvelle; but it is not yet known whether he be sent from the States or Don John. The said Don John has written to Osmaro, a 'J esewyte, ' and others of the same order to come to him, to be used in 'handling' with the States touching a peace, so far as concerns religion; who accordingly prepared for the journey. The King of Sweden's ambassador has come here again from Naples, from the Viceroy, and has obtained that the King his master shall be 'answered' and paid 100,000 crowns, which the King of Spain ' did set him over for' to the Dukedom of ' Bary.' The same King of Sweden has required of the Pope certain Jesuits, to the end that in his kingdom he may erect a college of the same religion; to which is appointed Posanio, with two others, who shall take to them eight more in Dutchland, and so go for Sweden. From Venice, the 27th of September. As we hear from Naples, the King of Spain has ordered an ambassador to be sent to Constantinople, who shall hold up 'the Mehemet Bassa' so long with the hope of peace between the King and the Turks, till the final end of the resolution 'hereafter followeth.'
