The Burden Of Light
As a child, Emma was different than most. While pregnant, her mother prayed for her baby to have an old soul, and with an upbringing where individual spirituality and idealism were valued, Emma grew to believe that she indeed was special, even chosen for something great. But her idyllic childhood would be interrupted by fate. Divorce, addiction, poverty, and despair will tear Emma out of her childhood fantasies into a harsh but beautiful reality, where she will question God, fate, and her own life meaning. As Emma struggles to obtain a spiritual identity that is not tainted by false expectations, she will discover an important lesson about life and the freedom of letting go of one's burdens.
