Warren Vincent "Buddy" Rosar (July 3, 1914 in Buffalo, New York - March 13, 1994 in Rochester, New York), was an American professional baseball player. He played in Major League Baseball as a catcher from 1939 to 1951 for the New York Yankees, Cleveland Indians, Philadelphia Athletics, and Boston Red Sox. Rosar was regarded as an excellent defensive catcher, setting a record for consecutive games without an error by a catcher. Rosar was signed as an amateur free agent by the New York Yankees in 1934. He played for the 1937 Newark Bears that won the International League pennant by 25 games to be considered one of the best minor league teams of all time.
