Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Eldred William (Bud) Byerly (born October 26, 1920) is a former pitcher in Major League Baseball who played for the St. Louis Cardinals (1943-1945), Cincinnati Reds (1950-1952), Washington Senators (1956-1958), Boston Red Sox (1958) and San Francisco Giants (1959-1960). He was born in Webster Groves, Missouri and batted and threw right-handed. Although he never pitched more than 95 innings in a regular season, Byerly played for five Major League teams in a span of 11 years. He proved to be a valuable man on the Cardinals 1944 World Champion staff, relieving or filling in for injured starting rotation members when needed. His most productive season came in 1957 with the Senators, when he posted career-highs with six wins and six saves.
