How did this become the #1 story in America, and also gain so much attention from around the world? Once considered “The World’s Greatest Athlete” who embodied the physical strength most men only dream of – to then tell the world he (or she) identifies as a woman. For many younger people, Jenner has been a TV reality star. For the older generation, Jenner was considered the greatest athlete in the world. My initial question before writing this book was, "Why is this getting so much attention" - until we did some research. This is not a pro/con book of Jenner, and will not engage in petty name-calling, comparing of redundant ideals. And then again, the media isn't there to give news - they have only one bias - a financial one. It’s like a dance, but who is leading? It’s like a soap opera, or sports for men – you start watching, and you want to see how it develops, just like a movie. And what a great movie this would make. Former NAACP President Rachel Dolezal had said, "I cried because I resonated with some of the themes of isolation, of being misunderstood -- to not know if you have a conversation with somebody, will that relationship then end because they have seen you as one way," she saidshow more
