Prof. Packard presented two papers, and Prof. Barus three. All the papers were naturally devoted to highly specialized scientific topics, which were treated in an exceedingly technical manner. On the evening of the last day of the ses sion the faculty tendered the members of the Academy a reception in the Lyman Gymnasium.
