Broken Faith : Spiritual Discord, 1
This was it. The moment Heaven and Hell would clash. But which unearthly being would win? The fallen angel or Hell's hounds? Overtaken by fear, I close my eyes. Kayson is a Fallen Angel who has spent decades running from the Hell Hounds while searching for something that no one else believes can be so, not even God. Kayson is determined to find a Blood Child. But when a hound finds Kayson first, he is sure his end has come. Falon, Alpha of the Hell Hounds, destroyer of the blood children, and devoted believer in his master's plan, is bound and determined to drag Kayson back to Hell with him. Sabrina is a Vampire, a half-breed created from one of Lucifer's original blood children. After years of hiding, Sabrina's fate changes when she finds Kayson barely alive. Against her instincts, Sabrina saves him. Now she and Kayson are both marked by the Hell Hounds. Emma is an ordinary human, whose only problem is making ends meet, and getting over the hurt caused by her untrustworthy brother. Her everyday problems become supernatural ones when she finds Kayson and Sabrina hiding in her parent's backyard shed. Kayson, Sabrina and Emma are unlikely allies, thrown together by chance to fight against the most powerful creatures of the underworld in order to follow their world-changing quest. But will the broken faith of one break the faith of all?

Review: Broken Faith is the first book of the Spiritual Discord series by Brandy Nacole. It is a delightful, staggering and unique book. The ingredients that make this book an unforgettable read are: a cup of vampires, a teaspoon of fallen angels, 100 g of evil hell hounds, a pinch of humans and one pack of ghosts! Then proceed to mix all the ingredients adding a perfect touch of forbidden love and an incredible amount of talent and BANG! You have this piece of delicious art called Broken Faith. Have you ever felt, when you were starting to read a book, that you were going to fall in love with it? Even though you have read just the first page? Well that is exactly what happened with Broken Faith. We fell in love immediately with it! We knew from the beginning that this was a 5 gorjuss doll! We have our reasons to like it so much. One of the many reasons we felt like nothing else was around us while we were reading Broken Faith has a name: Kayson. Kayson is a Fallen Angel *fangirling*, he is so sweet and peaceful. We loved the reason why he fell! It was so noble, just like him. And before you ask, he is super hot! Come on, he is an angel he has to be really handsome doesn't he? Anyway, leaving beauty aside, we love him because he is a gentleman and has a heart as big as heaven and hell together. We could keep like this all day, giving you a long, long list of reasons to love Kayson, but one thing we love the most about him is his reason to be a Fallen Angel (I got you! You want to know what it is, right? You will have to read Broken Faith *wink*) ...Oh yeah, Sabrina! I almost forgot I have been writing a review *got lost in my thoughts thinking about Kayson*. We love her as much as we love Kayson, for different reasons of course. She has been through a lot. We can't imagine a life running and hiding. We liked her so much because of how evil she pretends to be. But, in the end, she's not actually being bad. She is such a good girl/vampire. We felt really sorry about how she became a vampire. We wanted to hug her and never let her go. We also wanted to slap her at some point, but we partly understand why she was acting the way she did. So we had some strong mixed feelings here. As for the other characters, well... Emma, we didn't like nor hate her. She is a normal girl, with normal problems, and a huge attraction to Kayson (which is normal since we have made clear everyone loves angels that look like him). But we have to admit that it has been a time when we wanted nothing more than to punch her in the face! Why? No giving away anything here, we encourage you to read Broken Faith and punch her by yourself *laughing* OMG! I almost forgot! The bad boys, aka Hell Hounds! No need to say we hate them right? They were so evil that it terrified us! They were perfectly described. Such a good description that you could perfectly made an image of them, chasing the good guys. About the book, we liked that you could see different POVs. You not only feel like dying of love, but of fear, too, because you get to see Falon's POV, which is as scary! We would love to see this more frequently, I mean, see the story from the bad guy's POV and remain the evil/bad one. We want to congratulate Brandy, not so many people can write 4 different points of view and don't make you get lost. That's the reason we love Brandy's fluent writing and we are so eager to read more of her future books. Ok guys, I think I have said enough, and I have made clear that Broken Faith is not an ordinary book with a bunch of supernatural creatures, but an I-am-going-to-get-to-you-and-make-you-fall-in-love-with-me-that-you-are-not-going-to-be-capable-of-put-me-down kind of book. We encourage you to read Broken Faith! But make sure you have a comfortable seat with food on hand, because you won't be able to stop reading this wonderful book. Once you start, you wouldn't be able to stop reading it.show moreby TUABFC
it has incredible characters and a truly fascinating storyline. I couldn't stop reading it from the very fist line it is a smashing read! Kayson a fallen Angel and Sabrina a vampire are suppose to be enemies but thanks to a common enemy the Hell Hounds they find themselves thrown together. Wounded in a battle with one such nasty Hell Hound Kayson has no choice but to accept the help Sabrina offers. Sabrina has no idea why she is helping Kayson fallen angels hate vampires, but for some reason she can not bring herself to leave him hurting and helpless. Emma and her best friend Briston think that today will be just like any other day with the exception of stopping in to water plants at Emma's Mothers house. They never believed that their whole world would be turned upside down when they find a vampire and a wounded fallen angel hiding out at her mothers house. Things go from bad to worse when the hounds track them down. will anyone get out alive? or will the hounds drag them all into the Under? This book was soooo freaking good there are no words to describe it! Brandy Nacole is a genius storyteller! I could have read this book forever and never stopped! I really hope there will be a next book as I can't wait to see what happens next! My favourite character was Sabrina. She was such a wounded and heartbroken person but at the same time tough and strong. Her story was so lonely and heartbreaking but she didn't let it make her weak. The Hell Hounds were the best bad guys ever! they were scary, creepy and downright mean on all occasions. They never once faltered in their scariness! If you haven't read this book you so have to get it! it is a must read! for all you supernatural fans out there, this book has it all! butt kicking, love , suspense, intrigue, horror and supernatural creatures!show moreby Amanda Masters
