British Vocational Qualifications
This new reference book provides up-to-date information on all the vocational qualifications on offer in the UK - NVQs (at all levels) GNVQs and all other qualifications awarded by BTEC, RSA, City and Guilds and other awarding bodies. Part one of the book gives an informed overview of the rapidly changing vocational education system, including: the structure of the qualifications on offer, the role of the awarding and examining bodies; the role of the NCVQ and the structure of NVQs and GNVQs. Part two is the main directory listing of all vocational qualifications available, in 11 sections. The entry for each qualification includes the units of competence for each NVQ (or other course's modules), the level of the qualification, any entry requirements, the associated awarding bodies and lead body. Part three - sources of information, provides listings of all relevant contact points.
