Excerpt from The British Journal of Dental Science, Vol. 23: January-December, 1880 Mr. Weiss, in a paper read before the Odontological Society, gives the following statistics Of 312 patients over twenty-six years of age, 152 had deficiencies of wisdom teeth; 29 had no third molars at all 44 had deficiencies in the upper and lower jaws 76 in the upper jaw only; 32 in the lower only.
