Excerpt from The British and Colonial Printer and Stationer, Vol. 86: January 8, 1920 Mr. C. H. Lee raised the question of whether too much money was paid to the Federation, and asked the council to be frank with them in the matter. The Chairman replied with the assurance that no sum had yet been arranged and that no more would be paid than was proportion ate to the position held by London master printers. Mr. A. F. Blades said that, as President of the Federation, he expected id. In the g from the London members, as the whole of the other alliances had agreed to pay that amount at least. He cited higher rates paid else where and said that if London paid less they would put themselves in rather a parlous state.
