Bristol consists of two components, the emulation or synthesis engine itself called bristol, and a graphical user interface called brighton. As of 2010 there are over 35 keyboards implemented, a range of organs, electric pianos and synthesisers. Bristol was written by Nick Copeland. It program was first released in 2002 and is still an active project in 2010.
