Description

Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Bovenkarspel Flora is a railway station on the outskirts of Bovenkarspel, the Netherlands. The station opened in 1977 and is located between Hoorn and Enkhuizen. The station is on the Amsterdam - Enkhuizen railway line. The station and services are operated Nederlandse Spoorwegen. The station was originally for an annual flower festival held here, therefore the Flora in the name. In 1999 an outbreak of Legionellosis occurred during the "Flora beurs." This caused the festival to be renamed to "Holland Flower Festival" in 2002 and relocated to Zwaadijk-oost in 2005.show more
