Description

What happens when a would-be British zoo curator meets an American zoo keeper full of great ideas and a smile dipped in sunshine? They fall in love and have a zoo, of course. Boo's Zoo becomes the home of the world's most famous giant pandas, thanks to the special Anglo-American PPP - the Playing Panda Project. About Annie Wharton

Annie Wharton was born in rural Canada in 1950. She was a trainee teacher until a combination of music and the great outdoors lured her into a new career. She became a choreographer for a log rolling formation team, eventually moving to the United States, where her prowess earned her legendary status. She briefly teamed up with the prodigy lumberjack 'Dangerous' Daniel Leigh, earning her the nickname Annie Oak-Leigh. Following a near-drowning while demonstrating a new move originated by Daniel, she gave up the sport overnight and returned to teaching. Annie moved to England in the 1960s, settled in rural Gloucestershire, and took up writing in her spare time.show more
