John Robert (Bob) Spence (born February 10, 1946 in San Diego, California) is a former Major League Baseball player. Spence played for the Chicago White Sox from 1969 to 1971. He batted left and threw right-handed. He was drafted by the White Sox in the 1st round (4th overall pick) of the 1967 amateur draft. Major League Baseball (MLB) is the highest level of professional baseball in the United States and Canada, consisting of teams that play in the National League and the American League. The two leagues merged in 2000 into a single MLB organization led by the Commissioner of Baseball after 100 years as separate legal entities.show more
