Robert George Allietta (born May 1, 1952 in New Bedford, Massachusetts) is a former Major League Baseball catcher. On January 13, 1971 he was drafted by the California Angels in the 1st round (7th pick) of the 1971 amateur draft (Secondary Phase). His MLB career consisted of 21 games played for the Angels in 1975. He made his major league debut on May 6, 1975, at the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum. He was the starting catcher that night against the Oakland Athletics, and went 0-for-2 against Ken Holtzman.
