Description

Blood Song is the first book in a fantastic urban fantasy series by bestselling author Cat Adams.

Bodyguard Celia Graves has definitely accepted her share of weird assignments, both human and supernatural. But her newest job takes the cake. Guarding a Prince from terrorists and religious fundamentalists is hard enough, but it seems like the entire supernatural world is after this guy too. When she is betrayed by those she is employed to help, and everything goes horribly wrong, Celia wakes to find herself transformed.

Neither human nor vampire, Celia has become an Abomination--something that should not exist--and now both human and supernatural alike want her dead. With the help of a few loyal friends--a sexy mage, a powerful werewolf, and a psychic cop--Celia does her best to stay alive. On the run from her enemies, Celia must try to discover who is behind her transformation...before it's too late.

Our customer reviews

Celia Graves is a bodyguard and she is on a job protecting a Prince. It is whilst on this particular job that Celia is attacked by vampires. She wakes to find herself strapped down on a table in a lab where she is told that she is a half vampire after nearly being turned. Celia must now find out wo tried to turn her all vampy and who attacked the Prince. Now this book sounded right up my street and I must admit I loved the cover too but I was disappointed with it. The beginning started out great so much so that I have pre-ordered the next two books but it went down hill. I haven't decided yet if I like Celia even after finishing the book and the other characters didn't really grab me either. It must be traumatic being half vamp but Celia cried a lot and I mean a lot. The vamps were meant to be very old and tough but it seemed very easy to dispose of them no real big fights scenes. I didn't take to the dream sequences where we learn about Celia's past and there were parts of the story that should have taken at least a chapter to write but were covered in two pages. I would like to give this book 3 stars.show more
