Description

Excerpt from The Birmingham Medical Review, Vol. 1: A Monthly Journal of the Medical Sciences; July to December, 1901 Although Otitis Media is one of the well known complications of Pneumonia, it is I believe one which is very apt to be over looked owing to the fact that the recognised symptoms of middle ear inflammation are often absent when it occurs as a complica tion of an acute disease. As this oversight may have very serious results to the patient I am emboldened to publish these few remarks on the subject although they are based upon a somewhat limited series of cases.
