The autobiographical account of Lt. Warren G. Helm's experiences during World War II. Lt. Helm was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for flying combat missions over Germany as a pilot of a B-17 Flying Fortress. Lt. Helm and his crew successfully completed 34 combat missions after which Helm served in the ferry service before returning home. The book begins by detailing Helm's early years growing up in Parker City, Indiana before heading off to war with four of his brothers. What follows is an amazing true story of a family at war and the faith that brought them back home safe.
