Pauline's life has had many twists and turns. The experiences of 12 years as a Catholic teaching nun and 23 years of Marriage (with 4 children in 3 years and 9 months) led her to ask the question, "Who Are You When No One Sees?" At 50, after being involved in the lives of families whose children had had a stroke, Pauline studied for her first Degree researching the "Impact of Trauma on Siblings." In 2005, in her 60th year, she took to the stage for the first time when her life story premiered as a One Woman Theatre Play "500 Letters". Her play brought to life some of the stories in her two published books. She toured the country in 2006 and Creative New Zealand gave a grant for another tour in 2008. She has performed the play over 50 times in centres all over NZ to enthusiastic reviews. In 2009 Pauline received the 'North Shore Woman of the Year' award from the North Shore Women's Centre. Pauline is constantly contacted by people who are looking for new meaning and purpose in their lives. She continues to ask the question, "Who Are You When No One Sees?"
