All that glitters is not gold... Demon slayer Lizzie Brown isn't exactly a diamonds and champagne type of girl. But when an ancient cult becomes the "in" thing in Beverly Hills, she realizes there's more to it than youth potions, parties, and priceless Egyptian artifacts. There's a demon involved...and Lizzie's not on the guest list. She goes in undercover, along with her sexy Greek shape-shifter husband, her biker witch buddies, and a dog that is way too fond of free appetizers and the red carpet lifestyle. Review Courtesy of April Hollingworth This is the 6th book in the Demon Slayer series and it doesnâ??t let you down. It, like the others can be read as a standalone book. Filled with wonky magick, demons and so much more this book keeps you reading and addicted from beginning to end. I loved it! Opening Scene: A loud thud jarred me awake. The Review: Lizzie wakes up in the middle of the night to a strange noise that only she hears. Finding a creature from purgatory is not what she expects, finding out that there is a new religious cult with strange artifacts and a gateway to hell, makes for a really bad time. Enlisting the help of a half demon and her biker witch buddies and of course her sexy griffin husband at least keeps things interesting. But will Lizzie manage to infiltrate the church or will she have to sacrifice more than she ever bargained for to prevent a demon from rising? Notable Scene: â??Is it demonic?â?? Dimitri asked, his voice low. â??Itâ??s violent and in pain.â?? I didnâ??t know any more than that. The night was completely silent, as if it were waiting too. I vowed to start keeping a flashlight next to the bed as we padded down the short carpeted hallway. Dimitri edged slightly ahead of me as we hit the stairs. He raised the stick and I caught a movement at the bottom a split second after he did. Dimitri charged after it. I hurried right behind him and hit the light. Good thing my husband was a look-first-and-bash-later type because my dog, Pirate, stood in the hardwood entryway, his tail wagging like it was three in the afternoon. He gave a wet doggy snurfle. â??Whatâ??s going on? Are we having breakfast?â?? Dimitri scanned the room behind Pirate. â??Lizzie heard a noise.â?? Ooh, fun!â?? My dog whipped his stubby tail hard enough to stir up a breeze. â??What did it sound like?â?? Interesting that he didnâ??t know. Pirate could normally hear the mailman from two blocks away.
