Municipally, together with Anadyrsky Administrative District, it is incorporated into Anadyrsky Municipal District. It is located on the southeastern shores of the autonomous okrug and borders with Anadyrsky District in the west and the Bering Sea in the east. Its administrative center is the urban locality (an urban-type settlement) of Beringovsky. District's population: 2,402 (2010 est.); 3,162 (2002 Census); 8,968 (1989 Census).
