The Bergen Subdivision is a railroad line owned by CSX Transportation in the U.S. state of New Jersey. The line runs from North Bergen north to Bogota along a former New York Central Railroad line. At its south end, the Bergen Subdivision becomes Conrail's North Jersey Shared Assets Area; it becomes the River Subdivision at its north end.The line was opened by the New Jersey Midland Railroad in the 1870s. Through mergers, leases, and takeovers, it became part of the New York Central Railroad and Conrail. When Conrail was broken up in 1999, the Bergen Subdivision was assigned to CSX.
