Lloyd Benjamin "Ben" Spencer (May 15, 1890 - September 1, 1970) was a Major League Baseball outfielder. Spencer played for the Washington Senators in the 1913 season. In 8 career games, he had 6 hits in 21 at-bats. He batted and threw left-handed. Spencer was born in Patapsco, Maryland and died in Finksburg, Maryland. He is the grandfather of former Major Leaguer Jim Spencer. Major League Baseball (MLB) is the highest level of professional baseball in the United States and Canada, consisting of teams that play in the National League and the American League. The two leagues merged in 2000 into a single MLB organization led by the Commissioner of Baseball after 100 years as separate legal entities.
