Favourite Quote: “The future for me was already a thing of the past.”
This series is definitely one of my favourite NA book series! The last two books have been so good and this one did not disappoint! I give this book a 4/5 stars!
It was the characters in this book that I really liked. Phoenix has his issues but he was aware of them and constantly fighting them which I just admired! Plus he was romantic at heart and I just fell in love with him! Then there’s Robin, who I also really liked. She was just a girl who got lost in the party scene and had to turn her life around. Again her transformation was admirable, some of the choices she made I didn’t agree with but other than that I thought she was a great and interesting character. As for the pair together, I thought they were perfect for each other and their romance holds a special place in my heart!
As for the plot, it mostly focused on the romance but there were sub-plots of alcoholism, drug abuse, family problems etc and I felt they were all done well. The pacing of the book was a little fast for me, the relationship developed a little too quickly and that’s the reason I took a star off! Other than the pacing, the rest of the plot was enjoyable!
Overall I highly recommend this series to every contemporary lover! I cannot wait to read the next book!show more
