A sexy and emotional New Adult novel from Erin McCarthy, the USA Today bestselling author of Sweet and True. Robin used to be a party girl...until she got black out drunk and woke up in bed with her best friend's boyfriend. Disgusted with herself, she doesn't tell her friends the reason for her sudden sobriety and avoids everyone until she meets Phoenix--quiet, tattooed, and different in every way that's good and oh, so bad... Phoenix is two days out of jail when he meets Robin. He knows he has no business talking to her, but he's drawn to her quiet demeanor, sweet smile, and artistic talent. She doesn't care that he's done time, and she supports his goal to be a tattoo artist. But Phoenix knows Robin has a secret, and that it's a naïve dream to believe that his own record won't catch up with them at some point. Though neither is prepared for the explosive result when the past collides with the present...

Favourite Quote: “The future for me was already a thing of the past.” This series is definitely one of my favourite NA book series! The last two books have been so good and this one did not disappoint! I give this book a 4/5 stars! It was the characters in this book that I really liked. Phoenix has his issues but he was aware of them and constantly fighting them which I just admired! Plus he was romantic at heart and I just fell in love with him! Then there’s Robin, who I also really liked. She was just a girl who got lost in the party scene and had to turn her life around. Again her transformation was admirable, some of the choices she made I didn’t agree with but other than that I thought she was a great and interesting character. As for the pair together, I thought they were perfect for each other and their romance holds a special place in my heart! As for the plot, it mostly focused on the romance but there were sub-plots of alcoholism, drug abuse, family problems etc and I felt they were all done well. The pacing of the book was a little fast for me, the relationship developed a little too quickly and that’s the reason I took a star off! Other than the pacing, the rest of the plot was enjoyable! Overall I highly recommend this series to every contemporary lover! I cannot wait to read the next book!show moreby brookexx
