About Sonallah Ibrahim
After studying at Cairo University, Sonallah Ibrahim worked as a journalist until he was imprisoned in 1959 for his political activities. Since his debut prison novel, That Smell, he has been a full-time writer. Chip Rossetti is an editor and translator. A Harvard graduate, he is currently a doctoral candidate in Arabic literature.
