A brief history of the area and its founding family is shared in the preface. In the story, young Annie struggles with an unwelcome creature on her family's farm and soon learns a difficult lesson about nature and life itself.

About M L Tipton
Michelle LeAnn Tipton was born in Bristol, Tennessee, to Craig and Denise Beyer in 1981. She has traveled globally, taught elementary education for over eleven years in Kentucky and Tennessee, and is now a stay-at-home-mom to two daughters of her own. She is a graduate of Troy State University with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a master's degree in Curriculum, Instruction, & Assessment. LeAnn now resides in Lenoir City, Tennessee. When time allows, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, writing, creating various forms of art, and many outdoor activities.
