Review quote

Dusky watercolor-and-pencil illustrations add enigmatic beauty; bat facts appear in a different typeface and illuminate the narrative.
--Publishers Weekly Lovely, atmospheric watercolor-and-pencil illustrations show surprising detail and succeed in making an oft-maligned animal appear realistically fuzzy and appealing. A small index concludes this attractive, well-written introduction to a bat's world.
--Booklist ...this is a beautifully designed and thoughtfully executed informational storybook.
--Kirkus Reviews The lovely, detailed illustrations are almost as informative as the text.
--Teaching K-8 Finely detailed illustrations.
--New York Times Book Review, The A charming and informative story about a pipistrelle bat....This beautiful and fact-filled selection is distinguished by excellent writing and art.
