K.M Kaung holds a doctorate in Political Economy and worked in the non-profit sector in Washington DC for nearly 2 decades in the Burmese overseas struggle for democracy. She has been writing fiction since she was a teenager in Burma, her country of origin. She has traveled widely and loves art in all its forms.
