About Theo Lemos

I come from a seafaring background and, for as many generations back as can be traced, my ancestors, on both sides, were seamen and shipowners. My ancestral home is a tiny island in the Mediterranean, but I have never lived there. I spent the first six years of my life on a working cargo ship with three generations of my family and have lived in the UK from the age of twelve. I worked in shipping, managing my father's ships until his death in 1984 when, prompted by the decline in trade due to the world recession, the business was wound up. I then worked as a financial adviser, writing in my spare time. Two years ago, with all our children leading their own lives, my wife and I moved to Devon and I started writing full time. My novels are about real-life events with elements of the supernatural, and are inspired by my rather unusual life experiences. Apart from writing, I love travelling, walking, photography, cooking and reading, and I have a keen interest in mythology, particularly Greek, and more
