John Spence has delivered a concise and accessible book that is easy to read and understand but not light on meaning. Written without jargon or reams of research, the book is easy to read, understand and most importantly identify with in context with your own challenges. This doesn't mean Spence hasn't done the research, he has, and the detail is on his website for those that want it. The book takes key concepts for business and delivers explanation for why those concepts will affect your business performance and how improving in those areas can have dramatic impact on your bottom line. Written as a tool for delivering on those key concepts each chapter has sections for 'self audit' 'things to think about 'and ''turning ideas into action'. The book is written at a high level and these sections are about how exploring the detail of your current situation is critical to performing in each of those areas. The book won't tell you what your vision should be or which elements of your customer focus need attention but it will give you the process for identifying opportunities and executing improvement. If you are serious about turning ideas into action then this book provides an excellent process for making that transformation. An outstanding book and highly recommended.show more
