In Atsa Mi Paese, Victor Mazzarella offers heartfelt portraits of his parents, an Italian couple who came to America in the early twentieth century, raised a family in Massachusetts, and eventually settled in southern California. Looking back at the values his Mamma and Papa instilled in their children-strength of character, hard work, and love of country, to name just a few- Mazzarella also examines the many blessings and hardships his parents and family endured during World War II and the decades that followed.

About Victor Mazzarella

Victor Mazzarella grew up in central Massachusetts in a large, loving family. He served in World War II, and later worked as a compositor in a print shop. After the passing of the G.I. Bill, he started taking night courses for his bachelor's degree, and he even eventually earned a master's in education. He then instructed teachers and students in graphic arts. During this time he became the principal of a vocational high school where he worked until retirement. Today, the author enjoys fishing, hiking, and music, as well as continuing his examination of the country that his father adopted.
